In the realm of detergents, Methylglycinediacetic Acid (MGDA) has emerged as a versatile and effective ingredient, particularly noteworthy in three major application scenarios. 1. Fabric Detergents

MGDA has proven to be a reliable solution, minimizing the performance gap in film formation and stain removal. 

It exhibits high efficiency in rinsing and removing tough food stains like starch and protein, especially effective against tea stains, making it a valuable addition to commercial phosphorus-free dishwasher detergents.

3. Cleaning Inorganic Precipitates

MGDA excels in converting insoluble compounds into water-soluble substances, showcasing impressive solubility with inorganic precipitates. 

For tough, dry calcium stains, a solution of 1g/L MGDS offers enhanced cleaning results. Specifically, in tackling calcium carbonate and phosphate deposits – challenges in the dairy industry and other scenarios – MGDA provides an eco-friendly alternative to EDTA. Though slightly less potent in chelation than EDTA, MGDA outperforms other biodegradable chelating agents, ensuring effective cleaning without compromising environmental safety.
