J16 is a linear C16 alkenyl succinic anhydride (HDSA Hexadecenylsuccinic anhydrided) esigned for high-efficiency internal sizing in neutral and alkaline papermaking systems.
Linear C16 alkenyl structure providing strong hydrophobicity and uniform reactivity.
Designed for neutral and alkaline papermaking systems as an internal sizing agent precursor.
Excellent emulsifiability, suitable for high-stability ASA emulsions.
Enhances water resistance and improves paper surface strength.
High chemical purity ensures consistent performance and reduced hydrolysis rate.
Widely used in the production of ASA emulsions for packaging paper, writing paper, and coated board.
Property | Value |
Appearance | Light yellow to amber transparent liquid |
Content | ≥95% |
Acid value (mg KOH/g) | 330-345 |
Hexadecene Content | ≤1.0% |
Maleic Anhydride Content | ≤0.5% |
Moisture | ≤0.05% |
Density (g/cm³) | 0.95-1.10 |
Color (Fe-Co) | ≤8 |
1. Used as a curing agent for epoxy resin in electronic components, providing sealing and encapsulation, enhancing bonding strength, improving toughness, increasing electrical resistance, and extending seal life.
2. Serves as a corrosion-resistant lubricant in anhydrous systems, reducing friction and raising breakdown temperature.
3. Acts as an additive in metal cleaning, such as solubilizers and rust inhibitors.
4. Added to solvent-based adhesives to prevent corrosion of iron containers and avoid discoloration of the adhesive solution.
5. Used as a rust inhibitor additive in paper sizing agents, corrosion inhibitors, turbine oil, and hydraulic oil, providing excellent rust prevention.
